Maiko (Michelle) Kobayashi

Maiko “Michelle” Kobayashi is a Senior Associate at AIGF Advisors. Prior to joining AIGF Advisors in 2026, she developed a broad investment background across private equity and corporate finance. She gained hands-on private equity experience through a secondment to Marunouchi Capital, where she worked as a Senior Associate on investment evaluation, deal execution, portfolio value creation, and investor relations. Previously, she was with the Merchant Banking Department of Mitsubishi Corporation, focusing on portfolio management as well as the investment and divestment of LP interests in global private equity and infrastructure funds. She began her career at Mitsubishi Corporation in the automotive industry, working on cross-border M&A transactions in Tokyo, and later completed a secondment to MC Bank Rus, where she served as Deputy Director of Corporate Planning. She holds a BA from the School of International Liberal Studies (SILS), Waseda University, Japan.
